About Digital Printing
InÂ digital printing, an image is sent directly to the printer using digital files such as PDFsÂ and those fromÂ other graphics software. This eliminates the need for aÂ printing plate,Â which is used in offset printing,Â which can save money and time. Modern printing methodsÂ like laser and ink-jet printing, multi-functionÂ peripheral are known as digital printing.
Digital printing is a simpler process compared to offset. Without the need for plates,Â mixing inks etc. the final print can be delivered faster.
There are lots of positiveÂ environmental factors like no pre-press stages, plates or photoÂ chemicals which mean less waste. Printing can use a lot of water but digital presses areÂ now waterless saving thousands of liters of water per year.
One of the main technologies being used by printers to drive digital production is digitalÂ electro photographic i.e. laser printing. This is used by the dry toner. With this printing,Â high print quality that can be achieved and it is the ideal companion for printingÂ personalized marketing brochures, sales folders, invitations, business cards, direct mail,Â presentations etc.
